Support the PTA

Help us make an impact this year!

The Del Mar Heights PTA would like to welcome all new and returning families to our school community for the 2025-2026 school year. We believe our students deserve the best instruction and environment to learn, create, and thrive.

Our focus is using funds raised to improve the overall environment, equipment, and enrichment at Del Mar Heights. We strive to provide programs, events, and grants that enrich our children's lives, enhance our students' educational experience, engage our families, support our teachers, and help our community.

While we appreciate monetary support, volunteers are equally important. Help in whatever way you can; there are even ways that cost you nothing! Be sure to check out our our Ralphs Rewards contribution option and investigate corporate matching for any donations you make to the PTA over the course of the year.

FAQs

  • The PTA is a non-profit organization that coordinates events and raises money to make school even more enriching for the kids. These funds also prevent parents from being asked to pay out of pocket for most things.

  • The money raised via membership dues and through fundraisers pays for things such as: STEAM activities (music, art, PE, etc), classroom and teacher supplies, awards, teacher recognition, prizes, field trips, learning activites, events such as family movie nights, carnivals, dances, celebration weeks, etc.

  • No. Of course everyone is welcome and the more parents who participate the better! However, signing up to be a PTA member does not come with any other time or financial requirements.

  • You’ve got a lot of options! Here are just a few:

    • Donations. Make a one-time donation at the time you pay your dues or at any point throughout the year.

    • Spirit Wear. Buy Del Mar logo’d t-shirts and sweatshirts to wear on Zoom Calls and at events.

    • Spring Gala. Attend the PTA’s annual gala — celebrate our school and support the PTA by bidding on fabulous auction items!

    • Business Sponsorship. Become a business sponsor or encourage a business you know to sponsor the school as a tax write off.

    • Selective Volunteering. Look for one-off volunteer opportunities that fit you and your schedule. Some you can even do at home!

  • The PTA will host events throughout the year and will ask for volunteers on a case by case basis. We’ll do our best to let you know exactly what type of help is needed and the time commitment. We’ll have behind the scenes roles and also more visible volunteer options so you can pick the type of support that fits your personality and strengths.
